Hey there! I'm Durmuş Efe Özhan.
I was born in Mersin on June 30, 2005, but I actually live in Muğla. After graduating from Muğla Gazi Anadolu High School in 2023, I started studying Computer Engineering at Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2024, and I'm currently continuing my journey here.
What Am I Working On?
Rather than sticking to a single field in engineering, I love getting under the hood to see how systems actually work. Driven by the curiosity of "what’s happening behind the scenes?", I experiment with various technologies and explore what suits me best.
Alongside coding, staying active within developer communities is important to me:
- TEVED (Technology and Productivity Association): Part of the founding team where we strive to spread technology and productivity practices (teved.org).
- GDG Samsun: Organizing community events and meetups with the Google Developer Groups Samsun team.
- University Clubs: Actively participating in student clubs and taking part in new projects.
Beyond the Code: Interests & Hobbies
In short, experiencing and observing new things always gives me a distinct excitement:
- Human Psychology & Behavior: I have a serious curiosity about human psychology; I love understanding behavioral patterns, analyzing people, and reading articles/essays in this domain to gain new perspectives.
- Cinema & TV Series: I'm an avid viewer. After watching something, I really enjoy reading reviews on Letterboxd, exploring deep analyses, and rating what I've watched.
- Sports: I actively do fitness training; besides that, I enjoy playing football and basketball, as well as trying out different sports disciplines.
- Kitchen Experiments: Discovering new recipes, tweaking them to my taste, and coming up with unique flavors is one of my favorite ways to unwind.
- Short-Term Goal: Alongside software, I want to learn 3D modeling this year to get physical outputs, and dive into electronics to build more tangible, hands-on projects.
What Is This Website, Really?
This place isn't just a classic portfolio where I showcase finished products; it’s more of my open-source developer journal.
Here, I share:
- Projects I develop,
- Experiments I enthusiastically started and left half-done—or dropped saying "well, this approach didn't make much sense after all",
- My latest hands-on trials across hardware, 3D modeling, and software.
🐾 A Quick Note (Zuzu):
If you click and pet the little tuxedo cat following you around as you browse the site, that’s Zuzu—my own cat, born on August 13, 2021. I wanted him to keep you company while you explore!
